Moving on....

After 6 months of interviewing with a specific company (long process!), Zack finally accepted an offer for a job that will keep us here in the Atlanta area!  He will be giving notice to his current employer this week, and is planning to start with the new company in the next couple of weeks.  Perfect timing since the lease on the house we're renting now is just about up, and we are ready to buy our own house again!

Speaking of buying a house, we just put an offer on one today and are hoping to hear back soon if it's accepted.  Hoping to move in March because Zack will be training in Irvine, California for about 5 months, and we will be going with him!!  That means we need to get our stuff moved out of our rental and settled before we depart for CA at the end of April......or something like that ;)  Still lots of stuff up in the air right now!

I shot some photos of the house we're trying to buy since I know friends and family are waiting to see!!

The house sits on 6+ acres, and of course that was one of the top criteria we had when searching.  We are ready for room to roam :)  Here's the driveway going to the house....

And the house itself!

Lots of gorgeous, treed property that backs up to hundreds of acres of woods!

The driveway has these cute little posts all along to hang lanterns on....love them!

This house plan was actually featured in Southern Living Magazine, and the people that built it had it done exactly like the original house that was shown in the magazine!  So cool!   This is the work/laundry room off of the kitchen...

Lots of built-ins, and I LOVE the walls!

Here's the other end....

The hanging bucket lights are so fun!!  This house is straight out of Pinterest!!!!!

Tons of built-ins....

The house is a very different floor plan than what we're used to, but we are really excited about the open concept!  Here's the kitchen.....

Check out the floors....

No formal dining room, but this open eating area between the kitchen and living room instead.....

Living room...

Love the ceiling above the dining table!!

The door between the workroom and kitchen has a surprise....

it's a split door!!!!!

I really love the doors in the house- they all look like this!  And the door frames are extra high which adds a nice touch!

The front door opens right into the living room, and the staircase actually goes up from the back of the house....a little different than we're used to.

So this is actually the entry to the backyard.....

Master bedroom even has built in dressers....one on each side of the closet door!

Extra bathroom on main level has an awesome sink!!

And the shower stall is cool too!

Covered and screened wrap-around back porch....

with a nice eating area!

And yes, there is even a pool to replace the one we had to give up!

This one is a salt water pool and has a diving board!

The space above the garage is unfinished, but there's lots of room for a future teen apartment or something :)

And they built a playhouse for the kids to match the house

Back inside and going up to the top level

Game/playroom at the top of the stairs

One of the bedrooms has built-in bunk beds :)

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, so Allie & Sophie will be sharing, but they're excited about being roomies again ;)

I love these little accent lights in the living room

Great wrap-around front porch!

2-car garage off to the side of the house and a 3rd garage under the house (part of the basement).  It also has a full unfinished basement that we hope to finish someday for some extra living space.

And that's it!

Unfortunately, as I was finishing this post, we got a call from our agent telling us that another offer is coming in on the house.  That, of course, means a bidding war :/  And it probably means spending more than we want, but we will hope for the best!  Prayers appreciated :)

UPDATE: Our agent just called and we definitely got the house!!!  PTL!!! Thanks for prayers :)

How will you configure a family of ten onto three bedrooms? I know you're creative and will figure it out!

Prayers being sent. I am such a city girl, but I would love to live in that house. It is beautiful. I like the, "room to roam," idea.

Hope it all falls in place for you.

Upstairs has 3 nice sized bedrooms and the master is on the main along with one additional small room that we will use as a bedroom too....so 5 total bedrooms! Just means lots of bunk beds ;)

Definitely smaller than our last couple of houses Hannah, but we plan to spend LOTS of time outside ;) And I'm looking forward to less to clean and being able to "de-clutter" just a bit! Garage sale at my house :)
