Weekend Update

We had a fun weekend...but we're a little sad to see it come to an end since that means gramma heads back to Montana, & we won't be seeing her again for at least 6 months :(

We spent the day tubing on the Chattahoochee River Saturday (pictures still to come), headed to church on Sunday and then out for a nice lunch.  Sunday night we decided to have a fire, and while Zack was preparing the logs, Noah found a fun way to write the girls' names!

I love how he used part of the stone to make the "A" in Allie's name!

Sophie's name didn't quite fit on one stone, but you get the idea ;D

Wow, this picture is way more blurry then I realized, but here are the guys once the fire got going good!

As you can see, we spent the day in the pool!

Caleb didn't need to roast his marshmallows to enjoy them ;D

Although, that roasting bit looked like fun, so he finally joined in!

The boys are destroying their bathing suits because they go from the pool to the swing set to the fire
pit.....

The swing set is conveniently located right next to the fire pit, so there's always someone to push!

On Monday, Zack had a project to finish on the pool deck, so, in an attempt to keep the little boys away from daddy's work, we got them a new sandbox.....

It worked like a charm ;D

Emily made the most amazing snickerdoodles ever!

We decided she needs to start her own cookie company!

And while Emily was baking and little boys were making sand piles, the rest of the gang was reading....

Even gramma ;D

There was also some swimming going on!

Caleb even learned to get around the pool in floaties!  This is the same kid that wouldn't let me put him in the bathtub without having a screaming fit until he was 8 months old!!

We spent some time arranging pool furniture and adding a couple new umbrellas to really give it a resort feel ;D

Hubby's job was to complete a final corner area on the pool deck.  Instead of rock in this space, he placed patio stones so that we have a smooth and even surface to put our outdoor patio table and chairs.

But it wasn't all work and no play for Zack!  When he was done with the deck area, he spent some time cleaning the pool ;D

And he had a little help!!!!!

We've found it's easier to clean the pool if you're actually IN it!  Not to mention it's much cooler!

After cooking dinner on the grill and enjoying several yummy salads that gramma made for us, we headed out to a favorite ice cream spot.....

And that was our weekend ;D

I LOVED the girls' names on outdoor findings. That is so cleaver. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Poor Zach looks pooped in the fire picture!
