Ready for the final tour of our new home?! Today, we finish up with the main level..... here goes.....
I've always wanted double-front doors...note the kid in the window ;D
And when I came in to take pictures, he went out ;D
The front entryway...
Some of you may remember when we put this up over the front door!
The dining room is to the right of the front door.
I still have plans to paint this room, but we aren't in any big hurry!
Here is the office to the left of the front door...
Allie was busy working on a video for Mother's Day that I'm not supposed to know about ;D
Here's the rest of the entryway as you come in the front door...
It's a pretty small space, and I wasn't able to put much in it!
This is the small hallway with the coat closet, entrance to the main-level bathroom and the door to Sophie's room.....
There are 2 doors into the bathroom- one from the hallway and one from Sophie's room.
And there's me ;D I'm a little miffed that I had to put on a sweatshirt after all the warm weather we've been having! It's just a yucky, rainy day today :(
And here is Sophie's room...
We gave her Caleb's nursery furniture (converted the crib into a full-sized bed) since he's now in with Jacob. And she's working at an antique desk that actually came from my great, great aunt!
From there we head into the main living area....
Small, but cozy :D
Still planning on changing the white paint on the shelves, but no hurry! I'm so tired of always working and just want to enjoy our new pool for a couple of months!
One of my favorite quotes ever is on the wall! This next shot is of the ceiling in the living room- I love this!
Here we have the living room from the other side so you can see the front door, the stairs going up and the door to the basement is on the left by the butler's pantry....
And speaking of the butler's pantry, here it is! We plan to paint the cupboards a cream color and give them an "antique" look and change out all the knobs with oil-rubbed bronzed pulls instead (which we are also planning to do to the kitchen.....eventually!).
Here's the door to the basement. We are also planning a change to this door- we're gonna get rid of it and replace it with an "antiqued" black door with glass panels and I'll add some curtains to it and possibly a wreath :D
Looking back toward the bathroom from the kitchen.
And here is the kitchen with an angled pantry door.
The WAY TOO small pantry!
And here's the kitchen- can't wait to get it painted!!
The view of the hearth room off the kitchen.....
A shot of the trash drawer we had made under the built-in desk area. I can't sit there now, but I'm so happy to have a sliding trash drawer with enough space to hold two garbage cans! It has a beadboard front on it and we left it unfinished since we plan to paint the rest of the cabinets soon anyway.
The small kitchen table we have and counter area with bar stools....we eat all of our family meals in the formal dining room now!
My fun new curtains- I had them custom-made and really love the way they turned out!
And here is the hearth room.....
No t.v. in this room.....just a nice, quiet place to sit and work on my computer ;D
And this is the hallway leading to the garage- the laundry room is to the right. It's also where I keep my wall calendar, and we hang all of our keys here.
And a shot looking from the hearth room back to the main living room through the second entrance into the kitchen. You can also see the back door that leads out to the deck.
A second storage closet is in the hallway leading out to the garage off the kitchen. I'm thankful to have this because it holds all things I can't fit in the kitchen and laundry room! We actually have our dirty clothes laundry baskets on the floor in this space because they don't fit in the laundry room.
And speaking of the laundry room......
Really don't love it, but it's what I've got, so I try not to complain ;D
At least it looks nice, even if it's not very functional!!
And that concludes the tour of our new Georgia house! Hope you enjoyed it! I look forward to showing you the things we hope to change in the near future, but, for now, I'm just happy to have it all done :D

Love the rooster on the fireplace-where did you find it at?
Hey MeChele- the rooster (aka "Lola") is from Homegoods!
thanks so much for showing us your beautiful home! Love it! I 'pinned' the kitchen curtains you had made...i have like an octagon shaped window area and this will work for that! It's been empty of curtains for 2 years!!! I can even make these!
Awesome Ashley! I wish I could sew- they did seem really simple and I would have saved a FORTUNE!!
I love the shower curtain. Can you share where you purchased it, or the fabric?
Thanks
Where did you get the monogram for above your front door? Love!!!
PS. BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!
Lisa- the shower curtain is from World Market!!
Watson Gang- the monogram is from Wallwritten.com- we designed it ourselves :D
