Posting from the road again, although THIS time hubby let me use his computer with his little internet wifi access thingy that gets service just about everywhere! Wish I had thought of it sooner ;D
Anyway, we're about an hour outside of Kansas City and planning to stop for dinner shortly, but I wanted to get a quick note up about what's been going on with us the last few days! Our trip to Atlanta was highly successful and incredibly frustrating all at the same time, and while I'm not going to get into the details now, we are so excited to share that we accepted a job offer, found a house to buy, put an offer on said house and are awaiting an answer, and SOLD OUR HOUSE in Kansas....
PRAISE GOD!!!!!
But we're going to have to move quickly because we want to get ourselves back down to Atlanta as soon as possible to get Sophie in school! School doesn't start back up there until January 10th, so we have a little more time than our schools in Kansas, but she will still be starting several days after the local kids return. Thankfully, she's incredibly bright, and we know she'll do just fine missing a few days. Emily, on the other hand, is finishing up her senior year, and we've worked it out so that she can finish up her studies through on-line courses and will be able to graduate with her class from Kansas in May!
Zack starts work on the 16th of January, and while we're still working out the details (it's a good thing we've had this trip home to discuss all of our plans!), we are anxious to get back down to "Hotlanta" and get started making a new life for our Gang! Our current plan is to be packed and ready to drive at least 3 of our vehicles back down to Atlanta at the end of next week (the 12th), and then to have my husband come back to Kansas near the end of the month to be here when the moving company packs our house. We will be in temporary housing (a hotel) until we are able to move into our new home......yes, I do believe the HARD part is still to come!
Thanks so much for all your prayers! As several have mentioned to me on Twitter and Facebook, God always comes through in the end, and although the road has been incredibly rough and I'm quite certain it's not over yet, we are thankful to be in the place we're finally in! I promise to update more as I can (I actually have some pics of the house we hope to buy!)....but I've got packing to do and plans to make for temporary housing! Keep checking back....it's gonna be quite a ride ;D
So, while we're almost home today, in just a few more days we will TRULY be almost home :D

Sounds like a good a profitable trip! Glad for the selling and the buying. GOOD LUCK
"we can make our plans...but the Lord determines our steps" proverbs 16:9 sounds like a great quote for your life right now!
