An early gift....

I was so excited when I saw Angie Smith's most recent post!  She talks about going to see a show called The Story in Atlanta on her blog.  Curious about the show, I clicked over to the website from the link on her blog and quickly realized what the big deal was!

Not only is Selah performing (Todd Smith is Angie's wonderful husband!), but the show tells stories from the bible and features many great Christmas songs!  I love Selah, I love Christmas music, and I can't imagine a better way to celebrate the holiday!

THE STORY Tour, presented by World Vision, is a Christmas spectacular featuring many of your favorite Christmas carols and a musical journey from Genesis to Revelations. Todd and Amy are joining Steven Curtis Chapman, Newsboys, Francesca Battistelli, Natalie Grant, and Anthem Lights with special guests Max Lucado and Randy Frazee.

As I checked out the information, I realized that while I couldn't attend the show in Atlanta, it's actually coming to my area on December 18th (Independence, Missouri).  I was trilled to see it would be here, but after checking ticket prices I realized there was just no way (especially this time of year and with hubby still technically jobless) that we could afford to go with ticket prices at about $40 for nosebleed general admission seats!  It's one of those events that I would love to take the whole gang to experience, but it would cost us about $400....too bad.

So you can imagine my shock and surprise when Allie & Sophie came bursting into my room at about 9:30 last night holding some paper in their hands and wearing some very proud smiles!  Turns out that my beautiful girls bought Zack & I two tickets to go to the show as an early Christmas gift!!!

I'm SO excited!!!

A little sad because I can't take the kids, but excited nonetheless!!!

Thanks girls!  You've made your mama so happy :D
