Snow day

Since we live in an area where the snow only falls a few times during the winter, snow days are a BIG deal around here ;-) And since we don't deal with snow all winter long, I'm more than happy to have that occasional snow day where the kids are home from school and excited to spend the day outdoors! Especially since I have so many helpers to get them ready.....

I didn't get as many pictures of the kids playing outside as I would have liked, since I spent the day (unexpectedly, I might add ) at the doctor with Caleb, who has had a fever for about 5 days now & just isn't himself! So after snapping a few shots.....
of the boys.....
as they headed out to go sledding.....
I took off for the doctor's office, where Caleb ended up being terrorized catheterized and then off to another hospital for bloodwork. Still waiting on results, but it doesn't look like a UTI as they first suspected due to very strong smelling urine, nor is it an ear infection...... I always LOVE a good medical mystery, especially when my kids are involved ;-)

Needless to say, I got home late to a laundry room that is currently doubling as a drying room and looks like this.....
That is to say, it looks like this now that hubby went in there and cleaned it up ;-)
And since it's still snowing, we're hopeful around here for yet another snow day tomorrow ;-)
Bingo..... Allie just got a text from a school that school will be out again!

sooo jealous!! here in minnesota, i've had 3 snow days since kindergarten...and i'm a senior!! right now we have about a foot and a half left...LOTS has melted, but maybe, JUST maybe we'll get a snowday by the end of the year. wishful thinking!! and it's hovering around 0 right now, so when i head to school it's like 5 below...windchills have to be 50 below or colder for schools to be cold. ugg!! enjoy your snowdays!!

How is Mr. Caleb doing? Poor thing. I don't like it when babies are sick. Looks like an AWESOME snow day. Have a great one today too.
