Check out my chat wall!

Hey- I added a "chat wall" by The Blog Frog to my sidebar, but I'm not sure exactly how it works! I was thinking this might be more fun than just posting a comment under the pictures because then I can reply- I think- I don't know! All this stuff is new to me, but I love it! I also added something that will tell me if anyone from my tiny highschool in Mass. ever starts a blog- I think- so I'll be watching that! Someone leave me a message on my wall so I look like I have some friends:)

Tigger vs. the mop...

Here are some cute pictures of Jacob and Tigger- Jacob absolutely did not want to share the mop with the dog, but every time he tried to run away, Tigger thought it was a game!

Prom dresses:)

Today was the big day- my first born went shopping for her first prom dress! We hit the mall at around 1pm, and we were still there as the lights were being turned out at 6pm! This is how Jacob looked when we finally left... Here he is at the very first store- big difference!
Allie had a really hard time at the end deciding between two very gorgeous gowns- here is the second-runner-up...
The rest of these are the losers for one reason or another. I am proud to say that Allie looked beautiful in every single one of them, and I'm not biased at all!!!

This was Allie's MOST favorite for most of the day, but she finally decided it was a little more appropriate for homecoming. Actually, she asked several times if we could buy it too:)

No, don't adjust your screen- they are definitely going A LOT shorter this year with the dresses! I was amazed at how informal some of the dresses really were. I really loved this color on Allie, but it needed to be floor-length...OK, how old-fashioned do I sound???
Another short one- she did look cute!

Boy, banana yellow, and every other shade of yellow for that matter, was really big this year!
The dress below was the first dress Allie tried on, and it was soooo cute- it even had pockets! Unfortunately, it was a little small and we couldn't get it zipped up all the way (Allie's very broad like me, which makes formal dresses a pain because if they fit in the chest, they're too big everywhere else!), and this was the last one!
Well, it was a fun day, Jacob did a great job, and I have been blessed with an incredibly beautiful daughter:) Can't wait to do it again next year! Prom is this weekend, so stay tuned for pictures of the winning gown!

Truth

I just cut my leg in the shower while shaving- a normal event for me, so I put a bandaid on it and didn't think much of it. After a couple of minutes, I felt something on my leg and looked down to see a stream of blood running out from under the bandaid. Weird, it was such a tiny cut, a pinprick really. You couldn't even see it when the blood was wiped away. So, I replaced the bandaid and went about my normal routine until I felt something on my let yet again- blood. The tiny cut had completely bled through a second bandaid. As I removed the bandaid and began to wipe the blood away again, I found myself thinking how can such a tiny cut bleed so much? Then I was hit with a truth: that tiny pinprick represents sin in our lives and that bandaid represents us trying to fix it and that blood that doesn't stop represents how much damage that sin can accomplish in our lives. I love my brief moments of clarity.

Saturday night...and the aftermath...

Okay, so we were snowed in last night and couldn't go to church- what else is there to do??? Jacob decided to try going down the stairs like a "big boy!" He is determined to walk down like everyone else does:)
He finally got down the stairs, just in time to bug Allie, who was working on homework in the office. She looks pretty happy about the interruption...

Aw, now we see! Jacob had ulterior motives- Allie's cell phone!!

Fast-forward to this morning, and I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Feeding time at the zoo...

No silly, not the real zoo! I'm talking about our HOUSE:) And here are some of the animalsBe sure to get it all in your hair Jacob!Yummy...
You know it's bad when you still have your 3-yr-old in a highchair!
And after the madness it's off to the bath for Jacob...

I'm thinking maybe he gets messy on purpose just so he can take a bath- he's looking awfully happy in there...
While Jacob takes a bath, Matthew does this...
If you're wondering what the toilet paper hanging over the sides of the toilet bowl is all about, I have to say I have no idea!
And you can't tell from the picture above, but there was almost an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet, courtesy of Matthew! And then Matthew decides to HANG OUT!
It's feeding time at the zoo and bath time at the circus around here!!!
And since we didn't have enough fun at lunch...here's dinner...
Nothing like a naked baby in the middle of the dinner table! Sometimes that's the only way you get noticed in our big 'ol family:)
Now you'll have to listen to me...
Nothing comes between dad and his dinner!
Now we're on today- here's Noah and his ark!
While we don't have a flood outside, we are in the middle of a blizzard!
Ice first, then snow- I was sunning myself last week in 80 degree temps!

This is just not right!!!
