Thursday's Top Tips!

Hey everyone- hope your enjoying my Blog Carnival Week, and tonight it's MY turn to host! I'm calling this one Thursday's Top Tips, and the idea is to write a post with a tip that you have and would like to share with others- and it can be ANYTHING! Just let us in on the secrets that you have found that make your life just a little bit easier ;-) Do you have a tip for getting sharpie stains off the wall- we want to know! Do you have a tip for potty-training your 2 yr-old- we want to know! Do you have a tip for a fast and easy meal- we want to know! Do you have a cute and easy decorating idea- we......well, you get the idea! My hope is that this will be a fun place for others to come and get all sorts of helpful hints. So, tonight I will kick it off and share my Top Tip of the week......

If you're like me, you're always looking for fun ways to decorate ;-), and that includes places like the garden! Now, I don't personally have a garden, but I'm going to start one next year just so that I can enjoy this cute decorating tip!!!! We recently had dinner at a fun barbeque restaurant (you know, one of those places we fondly call a "hole-in-the-wall" that has incredible food!), and we were pleasantly surprised with the lovely little garden they had out back. The owners had come up with all kinds of fun ways to "decorate" their outdoor space, even managing to "cuten-up" (yes, I made up that term!) their tomato plants. And I, photographer-in-training, happened to have my camera along- here's what they did:

It's a little hard to see in the first one, so here's another shot:
Isn't that fun? The stakes that they use to grow the tomato plants have pretty glass bottles on top of them, upside down! And they really added nice color and lots of interest to an otherwise dull and boring plant! And when you saw them spread out all over the garden, it was even better ;-) So, if you have a garden with any staked plants, you might give this fun tip a try!! It's a quick and inexpensive way to brighten up your garden! Now it's YOUR turn! Simply follow the steps below.......

Step 1- go to your blog and type up your own post with your own Top Tip!
Step 2- grab the url for your tip post only- not the web address of your blog. To do this, you need to right click on the title of your actual post and then click on "properties"- this will give you the url for the post- go ahead and "copy" this url.
Step 3- now come back to my blog and "paste" the url into Mcklinky, along with whatever name you want to use.
Step 4- please "mention" my blog and add a link somewhere at the beginning of your post so that your readers will know where to find all the other Top Tips! And that's it!!
