Not ME Monday!!

WOW! It's been a long time since I've done Not ME Monday, but I'm happy to be back! It's so great that Mckmama gives us this opportunity for a little blog therapy, if and when we need it. So, without further delay, and because this is going to be quite the list today, I'll get going:
I want to first start by saying that there is NO way I would ever let my children get hooked on Starbucks- nope, NOT ME!! And I swear that I DID NOT take them all to Starbucks yesterday for an afternoon treat and spend $30 when there is a Dairy Queen right next to the Starbucks that I could have taken them to for much less. And there is NO WAY that my 3 yr-old would ever know what a vanilla bean frappucino is- nor would my 6 yr-old be begging me for double-chocolate chip frappucinos! NOPE, none of this would ever take place under my guidance, and that certainly IS NOT the remnants of a completely-gone, sucked bone-dry vanilla bean frappucino sitting in the middle of the playroom floor below- that, my friends, would be AWFUL!!! Oh, boy! My husband HATES to paint. And so there is NO WAY that I would ever consider asking him to repaint Emily's room after he just finished painting it a couple of weeks ago. I would never ask him to re-do all of his hard work to go from this.....
to this......
That would be insane!!! And I definitely would never think of asking him to replace all of Emily's old bedroom furniture with something a little more grown-up, especially since her old furniture was in perfect condition! Nope, not me! And surely you must know that I would never go out and buy all new bedding for her room, after I just bought new bedding for her room a few weeks prior! NO WAY!

And, while we're on the subject of NOT, I really didn't go to Costco the other day and buy Matthew a Halloween costume a full 3-months early- certainly not!

And you would think that, being the mother of 4 boys, I would be on my game and there would be no way that I would ever let them do something like throw mulch from the garden all over each other.....
...and the yard.....
THAT would be very irresponsible! Almost as bad as letting those same boys go on a bike ride all over the neighborhood looking like this.....
I promise you that Jacob DOES NOT have a hair FULL of yogurt and Matthew IS NOT half-naked with no underwear under his shorts!! Nor is he wearing his shorts backwards......
Really, I'm more responsible than that. Yep, and disciplined. So disciplined that I would never dream of eating a WHOLE bag of these yummy treats all by myself- no way, not me! I would share at least 4 or 5 of them with the kids ;-)
And really, I promise you that I am NOT considering replacing my brand-new Dyson vacuum cleaner because, despite all the hoopla over them, I HATE MINE!!!!

And I'm sure I'm NOT completely excited about my upcoming trip with my husband sans all 7 kids over Labor Day weekend- I would just miss my kids way too much to actually be happy about leaving them for 4 days ;-)

Before I wrap this up, I must tell you that I have NOT started buying candles again after I went and tried to start my own Scentsy business last fall and currently have a huge stock of melting wax and warmers stashed away in my laundry room-uh, uh!!!

By the way, have you ever tried to open a door as you walk full-speed without stopping to be sure the door is open first and then smacked head-on into it because you didn't quite get the handle turned all the way---- ME NEITHER!!!!

Have a GREAT MONDAY everyone ;-)

Oh Jenny, that was funny! I have been in a foul mood all morning since I had to return back to work after a week off and this really brightened my day! Thanks!

Can I just say I LOVED your NMM post. Jacob and Matthew ALWAYS make me laugh and today was no different.

Oh and by the way...I am not addicted to Super Bubble gum (only gum I can have) in the church office. I do not eat several pieces a day. Oh and I am not in love with icees this summer :)

Very cute. I love the Buzz Lightyear costume!!

My boys never run around sans underwear or with their shorts on backwards either, not in my house.

Too funny! I'm so glad to hear that someone else HATES their Dyson vaccum too.....I totally hate mine. I can't wait for it to bite the dust so I can get something new....Someday it may even drive me to throwing it off of our deck. ha.
