Today I followed the kids around with the camera and captured pictures of what they do for fun on a "normal" day! First off, we have a VERY large tree in our backyard, and here we see Sophie climbing that tree...

Don't ask me
how she got up there! And no, we've never had any broken bones in our family (only a couple of toes, but we don't count those!)!

The kids will climb any tree available- they're not picky! If you look closely, you can see Josh up on the top...

And our 16-month old likes to bounce on things...

things like pogo sticks...

I'm a little more boring and like to keep my feet, or knees in this case, on the ground...

Matthew, however, likes to chain himself up on the dog's leash...

...
while wearing his shirt backward...
...with his tongue hanging out...
...
and inside out...
Noah, who's a little older and
much more clever, likes to pretend like we have a swingset...

...and walks around with a swing
attatched to his body...
Meanwhile, Jacob has found yet another thing to bounce on...

a strange yellow blob...

And when he's done outside, he takes the fun
inside, where he demonstrates his prowess at
low-crawling under the kitchen bar stools...

and then, for some
late-night fun, the boys teach us how to
jump-off-a-table-and-fling-themselves-through-the-air-at-dad-without-killing-themselves-or-breaking-anything! Here's Jacob mastering the act of getting on the coffee table...

Matthew has the
art of superflying down- probably because he
created it- and here, he shows us how high to jump...
Now, everyone pay attention, cuz I'm about to make dad cry like a baby...
the "launch"...

...and the landing!

And he's
sooo good at it, he even does it without dad there to catch him! In fact, he doesn't even need the coffee table- he just hurls himself across the room...

...and then he does some push-ups...

...followed by some "upside-down" situps...

...invented by big sister Emily...

...as a punishment for all the bad stuff he did all day long...(and if you want to know more about that, click
here to visit Matthew's very own blog!)

And here we have Matthew trying to
ROPE dad's car as he drives away...

We often wonder
just how many angels this child has watching over him! I dare say it's more than the
average individual- just ask anyone that knows him!

And this game involves hitting the bubbles blown by Emily with the same jump rope used to try to rope dad's car...

Zack-the bubble-popping-pro- demonstrates how to use his
BODY to pop the bubbles...

Okay- that's it for our little tutorial on how to have fun like
the gang! Just remember,
do not try to replicate anything you have seen in this post. And
, we take no responsibility for any injuries incurred should you decide to try anything you have seen in this post! But seriously, NOT ONE of these pictures was staged- this is truly the way we have fun around our house-
although we don't usually encourage jumping off the coffee table! The kids really take after their dad, and
he likes to have lots of fun and is extremely creative with his activities!
The rest of the pictures are just some proof that spring is really here! Here's the front of the house, now adorned with some freshly potted geraniums...

And here's one of the beautiful trees in bloom in our front yard...

And finally, even with all the fun, we want everyone to remember that Baby Stellan, Baby Kayleigh, and Baby Jonah are still in
much need of prayer! Please join us in praying for each of them (you can find their blog sites on my sidebar under "special babies"). Also, Allie has been having what I believe are terrible migraines- bad enough to keep her out of school and in bed all day- and we have an appt. tomorrow to have her checked out. Please pray for her and pray that we can get the answers we need as this has been part of an on-going problem that we just can't seem to get resolved! Thanks:)

Hey Jenny! I have been having migraines a lot too lately. Mine start with an aura and before I know it my vision is completely gone followed by the worst headache you can imagine. Greg had a sample of this stuff called Maxalt (I think, but I will get back to you on the name). It is a disintegrating tablet that you pop in your mouth the second you think you are about to have an attack. When I first tried it, I started to get an aura at a restaurant. We flew home and within those 5 minutes that it took us to get home I had lost all my vision. I hurried and popped a tablet and I am not even joking, within 30 seconds my vision was back and I NEVER got even a hint of a headache. I just carry the stuff around in my purse now, just in case I am out with the kids and I can't just cruise home real fast.
Wow! We were given something called "Treximet" for Allie. Her migraines are related to her menstrual cycle, and they're trying to get those regulated as well. Poor thing- she's a wreck! My mom has them too, and I'm so thankful it apparently skipped me, although I'd take them for Allie if I could!!!
